Dr. Tyler is a second generation chiropractor and was raised in Sioux Center, IA. Growing up in a chiropractic family, he was blessed to experience all of the wonderful benefits chiropractic care can have for patients. Dr. Armstrong has had a lifelong passion for health and wellness, which made it natural for him to pursue his Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Dr. Armstrong graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City (CCC-KC) with a focus on family wellness, functional assessment, soft tissue mobilization, and rehabilitation. Prior to attending CCC-KC, Dr. Armstrong completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Morningside College in Sioux City, IA. While at Morningside, Dr. Tyler was a member of the men’s basketball program that won two regular season GPAC championships during the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons.
Dr. Tyler spends a great deal of time attending post-graduate seminars and took electives in school which included: Motion Palpation Institute seminars, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR), Activator Methods, Active Release Technique (A.R.T.), Graston soft tissue technique, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), and courses emphasizing sports injury and rehabilitation. Dr. Tyler is also a certified RockTape provider and was selected to be one of the practitioners for the 2014 CrossFit Regional’s in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Tyler is certified in Webster Technique by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Tyler is also a certified medical examiner for the DOT and able to perform DOT physicals for CDL drivers. Along with being nationally board certified in chiropractic and physiotherapy, Dr. Tyler is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Iowa Chiropractic Society.
Dr. Armstrong’s broad range of training has allowed him to treat every member of the family. He currently enjoys treating infants, pregnant women, senior citizens, weekend warriors, and competitive athletes. Dr. Tyler is happy to be back in Sioux Center and has cherished practicing with his father, Dr. Larry, and his wife Dr. Tiffany. In his free time, Dr. Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife (Dr. Tiffany) and kids (TJ Henley Oakley), coaching basketball, exercising, target shooting, playing golf, & reading.
